Radio Seoul (1430 AM & 740 AM) to launch as NY Radio Korea-1660 AM to provide outstanding programming 24/7.
Radio Seoul (1430 AM & 740 AM) is going through some exciting changes!
Beginning February 5th, 2004 Radio Seoul will be launching programming under a new name and location. At the stroke of midnight of February 4th, turn your dials to 1660 AM (NY Radio Korea) to find the same prestigious programming of Radio Seoul.
1660 AM (NY Radio Korea) will broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the Korean-American community in the tri-state area with strikingly clear broadcasts. The transmitting signal for 1660 AM is twice as strong as that of our original station, 1480 AM.
The Korean-American community has access to many facets of media communication such as television, radio, and print (newspapers/magazines). It is with radio that the most contact is made. For example, there are about 40,000 Korean-Americans living in New York, 60% of who communicate mainly in Korean. From that, 55% are known to use radio as a means of being updated with current events of both the U.S. and Korea.
Radio is the most effective means of reaching the majority of the Korean-Americans in the metropolitan area. With 1660 AM having a superior signal that can reach the entire tri-state area, anyone who tunes in will be provided with in-depth programming that is crystal clear. Advertising on 1660 AM will prove to be a dynamic force as it is the only Korean radio station in the Northeast to broadcast 24/7.
